Can't connect to MineCraft.net

Can't connect to Minecraft.net

When I try to log in in the minecraft launcher it says "can't connect to minecraft.net". My internet connection is fine and I can access minecraft.net in my browser. Does anyone know why this is happening?

My Minecraft won't Connect to Any Server

So I'm on my laptop... and minecraft will start, but it won't connect to any servers. I tried freedsuniverse.dyndns.org and orcworm.co.uk and both give me a timeout on connect error... anyone know what's up?
